Three numbers decide everything: 100 ml for the cabin, 5 liters checked, 70% ABV as the ceiling. Check your exact bottle, then see wine rules or general alcohol rules.

Enter the bottle’s ABV (alcohol %) and size. You may only consume alcohol served by the airline — carrying is fine.
How much alcohol can I bring in checked luggage?
Under 24% ABV (beer, wine): no security limit. Between 24% and 70% ABV (spirits): up to 5 liters per person in unopened retail packaging. Over 70% (140+ proof): banned entirely. Customs duty limits at your destination still apply.
Can I bring mini alcohol bottles in carry-on?
Yes — minis of 3.4 oz (100 ml) or less that fit inside your single quart-size liquids bag are allowed. You cannot drink them onboard; FAA rules only allow alcohol poured by the airline.
Is duty-free alcohol allowed through connection security?
Yes, if it stays sealed in the official tamper-evident bag (STEB) with the receipt visible, typically within 48 hours of purchase. Opened or resealed bags fail at the next checkpoint.
